Acanthurus achilles x Acanthurus nigricans Reef Safe with Caution The Achilles Hybrid Tang, a cross between the Achilles Tang (Acanthurus achilles) and the Whitecheek Tang (Acanthurus nigricans), features a striking combination of the vivid orange and black coloration of the Achilles Tang with the contrasting black and white tones of the Whitecheek Tang. This hybrid retains the algae-grazing traits of its parents and adds a unique visual appeal to marine aquariums. While generally reef safe, it may display territorial behavior, especially towards other tangs, and requires ample swimming space and live rock for grazing. Ideal for well-established large reef tanks, this hybrid offers both beauty and functionality. These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
